I am the author of this blog and my name is Manivel. I am fond of writing and like the concept of putting down your thought in a forum and seeing it getting beaten-up but much bigger and stronger arguments. The blog is also a way to explore the language, practice and perfect it. I started this blog as a way to improve my thinking, analytical skills, language, vocabulary and to share my thoughts on certain subjects that I feel important about. I enjoy a healthy discussion on any subject including the sensitive ones but this blog will not have posts on sensitive issues as written communication has the pitfall misrepresenting the idea that is being posted. As I say, “Blogs are personal opinions, not a war of words” and the opinions can be subjected to questioning, criticizing but nevertheless respected.
I represent an average human existence in this every-growing galaxy. I was born in Agaram, a village near Tuticorin and was raised in Chennai till I completed my Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science. Lakshmi Matric. Hr. Sec. School, ICI Matric. Hr. Sec. School and Leo Matric. Hr. Sec. School are the schools that I attended and I did my Engineering at Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering. Our batch (2005 passout) was the first batch of the college and we were the unfortunate souls to be shifted from Madras University to Anna University affiliation of all engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu.
After college, I started my professional work life at Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. My selection was through an off-campus recruitment drive held at Satyabama Engineering College (now Deemed University). After 2 months of initial training at Trivandrum, I was posted to Pune. After 6 months of being in a Resource Pool, two projects with a year-and-a-half in each under the same clients at Pune and Chennai, and another 6 months of being in Resource Pool, finally decided to quit work and go back to School.
I got myself relieved from TCS on Sep 2009 and prepared for the MBA entrance exam (CAT & XAT) and joined XIME, Bangalore after much of sorting. Right now am in the second year, final term of my course and will be graduating in May 2012.
